I was a bit more nervous than usual before this session, because I got to shoot a fellow photographer and her family who were visiting from Utah. I met Carrie at the workshop I attended in May, and we hit it off instantly. I have been fortunate enough to stay in touch with many of the wonderful women that I met that weekend, and Carrie is one of them. Check out her blog here!!
Since the tide was so high that morning I suggested La Jolla Shores Beach. Carrie’s family is exactly as I imagined they’d be; warm, happy, attractive and extremely friendly. Her girls are high energy, and I had so much fun watching Paige get very wet & sandy (sorry Carrie!) during our time there. I was laughing at one point because while I have sang many songs during a shoot to get kids to look my way (“The Wheels on the Bus”, “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, etc), this is the first time I got to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” (baby Mia’s favorite).
Thank you so much Carrie and family for choosing me as your photographer during your holiday to Southern California, and thanks too for a great morning at the beach!
